Production and processing sites

Where trading, processing, production and recycling come together

Roba Metals has an international network of sites where we manufacture and process metals or prepare them for recycling. Across our Service Centers, our Plate Center and other specialist sites, we combine materials expertise, stock, technical capabilities, logistics and recycling expertise.

This page highlights Roba Metals’ operational sites. It does not provide an overview of our sales offices, but focuses on the sites where we physically process or manufacture materials or prepare them for recycling. Together, these sites form an international network through which we support customers with the right expertise and technical capabilities.

Our production sites

Each Roba Metals production site has its own specialism. From stainless steel surface finishing, coil processing and complete components manufactured to customer drawings to extensive metal processing, sorting and remelting, our international network brings together materials expertise, technical capabilities and recycling expertise. Discover what our sites do and find out which location is best suited to your material, processing or recycling requirements.

Roba Metals IJsselstein

Several Roba Metals activities come together in IJsselstein. From our head office, our specialists support customers with the purchase of steel, stainless steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. This site also operates a grinding and brushing line for stainless steel surface finishing. The first stages of our metal recycling process take place here too: production scrap and residual material streams are received, assessed, sorted and prepared for further recycling. IJsselstein therefore brings together metal trading, specialist surface finishing and recycling at a single site.

Roba Metals Delfzijl

At our own smelting facility in Delfzijl, we process carefully selected and inspected metal streams into new, high-quality recycled material. By remelting the aluminium ourselves, we retain control over the recycling process and the quality of the end result. In this way, we make valuable materials available again as raw materials for European manufacturing.

From materials to processing and recycling

Within our network, we bring together various stages of the metals supply chain. Depending on the site, material and application, we support customers with:

  • material selection and purchasing;
  • stock and availability;
  • surface finishing;
  • slitting and cutting coils to length;
  • stainless steel plate processing;
  • machining;
  • custom manufacturing;
  • packaging and logistics;
  • the collection and sorting of metal streams;
  • preparing metal streams for recycling;
  • processing and remelting metals into new recycled raw materials.

Not every activity takes place at every site. By connecting the specialisms within our network, we can provide targeted support from the site best suited to the customer’s requirements.

One international network of specialist sites

Our production, processing and recycling sites do not operate in isolation. Within Roba Metals, we share knowledge of materials, markets, purchasing, production, processing, logistics and recycling. If a customer requires a process that is not available at one particular site, our specialists direct the enquiry to the site within our network that has the appropriate technical capabilities. In this way, we combine materials expertise with specialist production and processing capacity while keeping communication as direct as possible for our customers.

Activities vary from one site to another, but our principles remain the same: reliable materials, carefully controlled processes, personal advice and solutions tailored to the customer’s production process and schedule. Our international presence enables us to operate close to customers and markets. At the same time, our sites benefit from the knowledge, stock, technical capabilities and expertise available across the wider Roba organisation.
