Roba Metals & KBM Affilips

From aluminium trading and high-quality recycling to sustainable master alloys: one chain, one quality, one vision

From 6 to 8 October 2026, Roba Metals and its subsidiary KBM Affilips will exhibit together at ALUMINIUM 2026 in Düsseldorf. Under the theme ‘Closing the circle of aluminium excellence’, we will demonstrate at stand 3D72 how our activities across the aluminium value chain reinforce one another: from the purchase and sale of aluminium sheets and coils and the recycling of production scrap and post-consumer aluminium to high-quality secondary raw materials, grain refiners and sustainable master alloys.

ALUMINIUM 2026 brings together the international aluminium industry to discuss topics such as production, processing, recycling, circularity and innovation. For us, the exhibition is therefore the ideal place to meet customers, suppliers and other partners and explore how we can use, retain and reuse aluminium as efficiently and effectively as possible.

One group, different areas of aluminium expertise

The European manufacturing industry has a growing need for reliable, traceable and more sustainable material streams. Within the Roba Group, we respond to this need by connecting four areas of expertise:

  • Purchasing, selling and supplying aluminium sheets and coils
  • High-quality recycling of aluminium production scrap
  • Recycling of post-consumer aluminium and other non-ferrous metals
  • Production of aluminium grain refiners and sustainable master alloys

This enables us to consider aluminium across the entire value chain: from material selection, supply and application to recovery and reuse. The route taken by a material stream depends on factors including its composition, quality and application. With ‘Closing the circle of aluminium excellence’, we demonstrate how we combine our expertise and capabilities to retain aluminium at the highest possible value within the chain.

Purchasing and selling aluminium

Roba Metals supplies aluminium sheets and coils from stock in a range of alloys and dimensions, complemented by custom solutions and technical advice for a wide variety of industrial applications. This means that we are involved early in the value chain, through the purchase, sale and supply of aluminium. This position enables us to take a broad view of material streams and help customers select the right material, product specifications and finish.

High-quality recycling of production scrap

Roba Recycling collects aluminium scrap from the European manufacturing industry, then analyses, sorts, processes and remelts it into high-quality secondary raw materials. Where the material stream, volumes and technical specifications allow, we work according to a closed-loop approach. Customers can be both suppliers of their aluminium scrap and purchasers of the recovered material. In this way, we retain as much value as possible and give aluminium a new application within the value chain.

Recycling post-consumer aluminium

From three locations in the Midlands, Roba Metals UK processes large volumes of post-consumer aluminium and other non-ferrous metals into consistent material streams for smelters in the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond. Roba Metals UK also supports industrial companies with the collection and processing of production scrap. In doing so, Roba Metals UK strengthens the recycling expertise of the Roba Group with international market knowledge and extensive experience in processing post-consumer materials.
