Stainless steel is a unique, versatile material. It is wear-resistant, weather-resistant and durable.

Our stainless steel materials are widely used across various industries: in tank and equipment construction, the food industry, the agricultural sector, commercial kitchen equipment, the medical sector and, of course, as cladding. Our product experts have years of experience to address your specific requirements.

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is a wear-resistant, weather-resistant and durable material used worldwide across a wide range of sectors. The addition of chromium forms a natural, self-repairing oxide layer that protects the steel against corrosion. As a result, stainless steel is low-maintenance and suitable for applications with high hygiene or durability requirements.

At Roba Metals, we supply stainless steel in various grades, tailored to the technical and functional requirements of your application. Whether you are looking for heat resistance, formability or high corrosion resistance: we are happy to work with you to find the right solution. Our materials are used in sectors including tank and equipment construction, the food industry, the agricultural sector, medical technology and façade systems.

Applications of stainless steel

Thanks to its variety of alloys and properties, stainless steel is suitable for a wide range of applications. These include:

  • Food industry for tanks, pipes and kitchen components
  • Chemical industry for installations, housings and vessels
  • Architecture and construction for cladding, handrails and gutters
  • Transport for exhaust systems, bodywork parts and cladding panels
  • Medical sector for instruments, worktops and furniture

Depending on the required corrosion resistance, machinability or magnetic properties, we are happy to advise you on the right grade of stainless steel for your needs.
