What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is a wear-resistant, weather-resistant and durable material that is used worldwide in a wide range of sectors.

The addition of chromium forms a natural, self-repairing oxide layer that protects the steel against corrosion. This makes stainless steel low-maintenance and suitable for applications with high hygiene or durability requirements.

Stainless steel at Roba Metals

We focus on your production process. Using our own modern machinery, we can foil stainless steel sheets and decoil rolls according to your requirements. We produce extremely flat sheets up to 12.6 metres long, 2 metres wide and 12 millimetres thick. You can optimally process your high-quality, low-tension stainless steel sheets in a laser cutting machine and other processing machines without any loss of quality.

Our product experts think along with you. We manage the entire chain ourselves, from purchasing and processing to sales and logistics. This allows us to respond flexibly to your wishes in terms of stock management, delivery and contract forms. You have come to the right place for your specific dimensions, stock management and personal attention to your production issues.

Composition of stainless steel

Roba Metals offers stainless steel in various grades, tailored to a wide range of applications and environments.

Our customers praise our extensive European stock and our stock management. Because in addition to standard dimensions, we can just as easily supply customised plates. Do you need Quarto stainless steel plates? We supply material up to 100 mm thick from stock. Your plates will be ready for use within 24 hours.

We have a very large standard stock, with materials up to 12 mm thick. We deliver standard dimensions such as 1000×2000, 1250×2500, 1500×3000, 2000×4000 and 2000×6000 within 24 hours throughout the United Kingdom. Specific dimensions can be delivered quickly on request. Stainless steel processing in our Service Centre

We are an organisation of experts. In our own service centre with modern machinery, we ensure that you do not have to worry about decoiling and grinding sheets. We supply cold-rolled and hot-rolled material cut to size, with or without interleaving paper or foil. In addition to our machinery for producing 12.6-metre-long sheets, we have three state-of-the-art grinding lines under our own management. This enables us to produce the right sheets entirely according to your requirements: ground, foiled, brushed or double ground. Roba Metals represents Rimex in the Benelux with polished, profiled and coloured stainless steel plate products. We supply the well-known 6WL, 5WL and 15DP structures, among others.

High Application Alloys

With our specialism in High Application Alloys (HAA), we sell high-quality alloys for industrial processes, petrochemicals, offshore and machine and furnace construction. From our own stock, we supply sheet metal with high-quality stainless steel grades such as heat-resistant alloys, duplex, nickel alloys and titanium alloys. These are suitable for processes involving high temperatures, corrosive media and high loads.
