What is brass?

Brass is a copper alloy consisting mainly of copper and zinc. The material is known for its golden color, good corrosion resistance, and excellent workability.

Thanks to its combination of strength, durability, and aesthetics, brass is used in a wide range of sectors, from architecture and interior design to mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. Brass at Roba Metals

Standard stock

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, whereby the ratio between the two metals determines (in part) the color, strength, corrosion resistance, and workability of the material. Roba Metals supplies the following grades as standard (from stock):

CuZn37
Composition

63% copper 37% zinc

About

An alloy which is chosen for general construction, turned parts, door fittings, and decorative elements, partly due to its favorable price-quality ratio.

CuZn30
Composition

70% copper 30% zinc

About

Due to its good formability and corrosion resistance, is used in a wide range of applications, including roof and facade systems, architecture, and industry.

Delivery & Certification

We deliver your order from stock within 24 hours throughout the Netherlands and the rest of the Benelux. In addition to the standard commercial sizes, we can also supply specific dimensions and delivery forms. We keep your products in stock under our own management, giving you quick access to your order. We believe that flexibility ensures long-term partnerships. Our account managers always work with you to find the best solution for your needs.

Our brass products are manufactured and supplied in accordance with all European rules and regulations, such as EN 1652.

We manage the entire supply chain: from procurement and processing to refining and remelting in our own smelters.
